It saves the trouble of taking normal contraceptive pills regularly or other more troublesome methods like Copper-T insertion or vaginal condoms. This tablet forms a layer over the ovum which prevents it from getting fertilized. This layer lasts for a period of 6-months.
B-Gap is a single dose contraceptive medication and should be taken under medical supervision. Though it has no side effects it should not be taken by pregnant ladies, or women suffering from irregular menstruation.
B-Gap contraceptive pill should be taken in empty stomach with water in morning immediately after the last day of period. In the next seven days, copulation should be avoided. Thereafter, sexual intercourse could be done without any fear of pregnancy for the next six months.
